Hidden Gems

Many of the best values available in the wine carried at Le Chateau are from California's Central Coast, but there are also some values to be found in the European wines as well.

Moillard Rully Moillard Rully is a great value from Burgundy. This 100% Chardonnay is very crispy, with a very long finish.   Curran Grenache Curran Grenache is the new star of the Curran family. Fruity and a little bit sweet, this wine is the perfect wine for a lightly spicy appetizer.   Alma Rosa La Encantada Vineyards Pinot Noir Alma Rosa La Encantada Vineyards Pinot Noir. This is a somewhat unknown winery that makes a good and well-balanced wine.   Longoria Syrah Longoria Syrah is the perfect example of why Central Coast is such a great place for Rhone Valley grapes.   Robert Sinskey Merlot Robert Sinskey Merlot is for me one of the best quality/value wines in California. Year after year this wine has impressed me with its consistency and stable price that does not go up.   Dutton-Goldfield Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir Dutton Ranch Goldfield Pinot Noir is also one of my favorite values. This is a very food-friendly wine with a lot of character.   Chateau La Louviere Chateau La Louviere is always a good choice in Bordeaux. This Pessac Leognan is very affordable and always a safe choice.   Kunin Viognier Kunin Viognier is a lovely Rhone Valley single grape wine that I think more and more people will discover and fall in love with this year. The Kunin Viognier is a perfect example.
